What makes working at Story Cottage rewarding?
Kristin Cherry: Diane, tell me about your best part of this job. What do you like about it?
Diane Kohan: The best part of this position for me is being able to move residents into our setting. Perhaps they have had a bumpy road in the past, but being able to make the road ahead smooth for them with this disease process is incredibly rewarding. We’ve seen many families cry because they’re so elated. They don’t realize that memory care can be what it is at Story Cottage. That is my favorite part of the job, and I think it will always remain so. I’m very proud of what Story Cottage can accomplish, and I look forward to bringing that experience to more families in the future.
How does Story Cottage support families during transitions?
Kristin Cherry: And you do customer satisfaction surveys. Tell me about that—how has it gone?
Diane Kohan: We do, and our customer satisfaction scores are always wonderful—generally 96 to 98%. That’s something we don’t take lightly. We know satisfaction can fluctuate day to day, so we work very hard with families, residents, and vendors to ensure everyone is comfortable and confident in the care we provide.
Kristin Cherry: That’s great. Those are high scores!
